New Years!

New Years Eve.

We were able to leave Charli with my parents for the night and head up to our friends cabin in the Uintas. I love going up there when its winter. I have grown up going to the Uintas every spring and summer continually to my grandparents cabin in Christmas Meadows. But there is something about the winter that is just fun. 

We had debated on taking Charli but I wanted to be able to go snowmobiling and not have to stay back at the cabin while everyone else took off. I am so thankful we were able to go without her because it was COLD! .

..Don't believe me? Even Elsa couldn't handle that cold. 

New Years Day we were able to go for a ride for the whole day. We went over to Gold Hill/Whitney Reservoir. It was so pretty and crystal clear. I even got to play in the meadows along the way (meaning Kelly jumped off and let me drive the snowmobile by myself.) Lets just say I'm no pro at doing it nor do I have the body weight or stamina to control the machine like he does. 

I sure do love this wild boy. Even though Snowmobiling is definitely his love I'm totally okay with that. I'm glad he has something that he enjoys and that all his friends enjoy as well. I just hope he is safe every time he goes. The statement that Kelly told me when he was dating that "Summer is we time and Winter is me time."... is true. I hope he enjoys all the times he goes with his buddies throughout the season. Sometimes its hard on me to watch Charli the whole Saturday but I know he enjoys it and he doesn't plenty of things for me. So he gets the much needed break.. I just sometimes wonder when I can disappear for a weekend and let him play Mr. Mom. :)
