A Year & A Month!

Really how is it possible that Charli has just kept growing up! She is crawling faster, pulling herself up on everything, cruising around the furniture slowly, pulling everything off that she can reach, pointing like crazy with her pointer finger, putting her arms up in the air for you to hold her, giving you small little cuddles/hugs & a couple pats on the backs.

She definitely keeps us on our toes but she is so much fun!

The other day I asked her if she wanted something to eat and she replied NO! I don't know if it was coincidence or not but it almost made me sad that we may have had our first conversation.

We had some fun things that happened in the last month. We got to celebrate our second Thanksgiving as a family. Obviously Charli enjoyed the food this year since last year we had only been parents for a few week

We also went with some friends to Temple Square and saw the Christmas lights. It was fun to take Charli there. It was pretty stinking cold and she wouldn't keep her hands in her blanket or gloves on. We got to use our big girl toothbrush as well. She loves it. I was really nervous if she would let me do it because she won't even let me look at her teeth. We also ate really well in the last month. I made the mistake of one morning letting her eat a banana after getting dressed. That ended up in new clothes and a frustrated momma. Next time diaper only. We started to get our second top tooth. Now we have a total of 3 1/2! She loves to chomp on you and laughs when you say "Ouch, Charli you bit me!". I never realized how fun it would be to mimic that video!

We had lots of naps as well. Charli also likes to spend most of church in the hallway because she can't stand to be quite. If she is "quite" she is standing holding on to the back of the bench looking at everyone behind us and saying "hi there" and waving. It really isn't quite but if she's not screaming then we are doing okay. I also love the picture of Kelly holding her and the diaper bag he always told me he would never be caught with a diaper bag and that it wasn't manly. Well I hate to say it but he does in fact carry it 90% of the time. It looks good on him!

Charli also likes to play a game that we taught her when she was young smelling your shoes after you take them off. We would always wave them by her nose and say "Ew stinky feet!" ... I caught her one day at the counter she had taken off her shoe and was smelling it and giggling. It was the cutest thing! We still love our thumb. She giggles when I suck her thumb.

When we are out shopping she always will hold everything for me. She especially loves holding clothes and playing with the hanger. Even at home she likes holding clothes. She is a shopaholic like her momma! Charli also was able to spend some time outside on the big snow storm we had right before thanksgiving. She wasn't so sure about all the white stuff. She especially freaked out when she saw it sitting on my dark hair. She literally bawled her eyes out for a few minutes until I caught on and wiped it off.

I was sad when she wouldn't wear her headbands anymore. I don't know what I could do to get her to leave them on but one day I will be determined to get her to not pull them off. You can tell in the picture above how bad she wants to rip it off but I kept telling her how pretty she was and not to touch it. Right after I got that picture it was off and she was gone playing with her toys. We also can't stand having just socks on our feet. They are always pulled off and dad doesn't always know that. When I got home from dance one night I found her chilling on the couch watching TV with one sock half on and the other gone! Oh I love her!

Teeth: 3 1/2
Diaper size: 4 ..possibly going to a 5 soon.
Clothing size: 12 month to 18 month. Mostly 18 month just to get more last out of them
Food: We love whole milk, eating weekly pizza with mom and dad, ice cream, cake and anything that has sugar.
She doesn't get sippy cups as much as I try it never works. I need to find one that she will actually use.
Sleeping: We have always been a great sleeper. Going to bed at 10:30 and waking up around 10 is just peachy for this mom! We also take 2 hour naps.
In fact we had her out late one night this last month at a friend party and we couldn't figure out why she was so cranky. Once I looked at the time and realized it was 11:45pm it clicked that she was way over bed time. She crashed hard once we were on our way home!

Here's to the next month! Happy 13 months baby girl!
