Meet The Nelson's

Kelly & I met in the Summer of 2011 at a BBQ he was having at his home with his roommates. My friends knew his roommates, I will be more than honest that I wasn't wanting to be there that night at all! Kelly & I became really good friends throughout that summer, my friends and I were always over there almost every night! They were all really great kids and fun to be around. I really enjoyed my friendship with them and was really sad when I was close to heading back to Snow College that fall.

Well, little did we know that we would soon be dating. We started dating in October of 2011. It started at our first date to Cafe Rio, (he knew that was my favorite place) after we went to Wiseguys comedy club! It wasn't a typical first date because I already knew who he was and he knew how strange I was. Throughout the next few months Kelly spent many hours driving down to Ephraim to visit me on weekends and to watch me perform at football games with my drill team!

As fall was starting to turn into winter, I remember discussing with Kelly if I should sign up for the Spring semester or if I should move home. He never said "move home" but, he never said "don't" either. Then we started talking about rings and his sisters found my Pinterest boards and well of course you have a Wedding board that has crazy things on them! Kelly was shocked when he had seen the rings I had pinned. Well, soon to find out his Grandma Smith had gotten a Fred Meyer ad in the mail and gave it to him and told him he better start looking. He opened it up and there was one of the rings I had pinned that was one of my favorites! I was so happy when we went ring shopping that ring was in the case, let alone that he let me try it on! Not to long after I found out he had bought it and then I found it in his room! Oops. He then proposed the beginning of January 2012.

Then the wedding plans began and I may have turned into a little bit of a bridezilla. But we all survived and we were happily married in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on April 20th 2012!

I am so glad that I married Kelly, he is the best person for me and he makes life so great! He is always happy and knows how to make me happy weather its a large Coke or a new decoration for our house! I am so grateful that even though I had a bad attitude on the night I met him that things turned around for the better!
