The Final Answer.

31 days ago Kelly interviewed for a opening at the Ogden Questar Operations. As I said earlier he felt like he did really well with the interview & felt great about it, but that lasted about a week or two until you start to question everything. We were then notified that they wouldn't be able to take him straight across because of funds, at that point 3 out of the 6 guys who were interviewed pulled their names. Kelly didn't second guess himself to keep his name in, I know he "ran the numbers" like he always does but, I think secretly he felt confident about himself. Other than it being a pay cut it also would drop him from being a Rep. 3 down to a Utility Worker. (which is what you are when you are first hired) Although that is a set back in those to ways, instead of driving 36 miles to Salt Lake it would be 6 miles from our house.

I think that was the biggest thing that made us okay with the change in position & money is we knew if he got the job things would work out for the best! After knowing what could take place, Kelly received a couple emails about his application, he had forgot to check that he had a current drivers license. Which at that point it had been almost 3 weeks since he interviewed. I instantly thought, they wouldn't have him go back and check that he did if they weren't seriously considering him.. then we waited some more & heard they had to get it approved from the Vice President of the company & still had to meet with the people who interviewed to decide..

In all reality every day felt a little worse for not knowing, we had started talking about looking at other companies & jobs. I think Kelly got annoyed by me calling him at work and always asking if he had heard anything.

Although on Tuesday July 23, 2013 he found out about 15 minutes before work was out he found out..........HE GOT THE JOB IN OGDEN! As he called me Tuesday on his way home like he typically does, I didn't even think to ask him if anything was said. All I remember him saying when I answered was "Hello Pretty Girl, Guess what?" I replied, "What up?" ... He then shouted "Ogden called and... We're going to OGDEN!" .. I instantly stood up and started screaming and jumping! It was such good news to here & dreams were coming true!

I honestly think I have been a little more excited about the whole thing for several reasons because I knew that he would be close to home. He wouldn't have weird shifts anymore, he wouldn't have so much drive time everyday & we could go to Salt Lake without him hating it as bad, and there would be less meters he would point out to me that he's worked on! I think I instantly started dreaming of having him closer when we decide to have our own children, but also knowing that if I ran into a problem with my car or even just going to lunch with him on a Friday. Or just the joy of driving by Questar trucks by our house & having it be a possibility of it being him!

Its funny how life changes when its suppose to, Kelly interviewed a few months for Ogden before we were married & didn't get the job. I guess we were suppose to stay in Salt Lake for that time, maybe it was to teach me to not be as clingy. Now, Heavenly Father is totally blessing us with something that means a lot more than the fact that we will have a few more sacrifices, although for some reason neither of us are very scared for the pay cut, I think that is because we kind of felt that if we paid our tithing & lived as best as we could, that things ALWAYS work out! We are so BLESSED! I am so grateful that we have a different view of life & that we can stay positive about things.

I keep dreaming that with all the time he will save driving home every day will make the kitchen change faster, light fixtures will change & maybe some more paint on some walls... but, the best thing will be having him home more! I think he will create great friends & have better opportunity's  in the long run.

\I still have my job at Sunset Elementary & Dance Image.Which I should maybe get a few more hours at the school this next year & a few hours at the studio! Kelly has done amazing at Skid Steer work this summer & I am sure it will continue to happen! Plus, with Ogden he will be "on call" every 6 weeks & he will have some more time to go work in Moab! Also, from the sound of it they told Kelly there won't be much of any wait period to get him back to a Rep. 3!

He should be starting around August 15th! ...The countdown begins.

This picture of me was taken Summer 2011 after I had first met Kelly. Some of my friends and me were riding in his car to go dumpster diving in Layton, I don't remember what we were wanting. I was in the back & there was this hat. I put it on & someone took my picture. I never thought then that I would know care as much as I do about Kelly's job & let alone OUR life. YAY Questar.

This picture of Kelly was taken before we were married I believe. I think he was just getting home from work! Lets be honest who wouldn't like this cute boy working on their meter & appliances. He definitely makes the uniform look pretty good considering he is in jeans and a Questar tshirt 95% of the time! I Love him!

Becky Smart... "Though she be but little, she is FIERCE!"

Becky Smart was a beautiful, smart, crazy, lovable, funny, kind, compassionate, adorable..Alright, just think of any amazing adjective work and I am sure it would describe her! With that being stated of course living with her was awesome. She loved Johnny Depp, her cat, and playing pranks on us, she also had a great taste in music and movies, she played basketball a lot with Markell & Dani! Becky also attracted the guys I remember being jealous of how she was with guys all the time, it was probably because she would NEVER go anywhere without being completely ready! (Unlike myself I didn't get ready for many classes in college.) I absolutely love her! I only got a semester with her but I learned more from her than I think she ever knew!

A few memories of her, I remember her mom sent a package down for Halloween that had a clown in the box, Becky would hide it around the apartment and hang it from the ceiling, it was beyond creepy! I didn't know this but when she was little she hated clowns and her grandma made the clown, she still hated it so she would hide it for her mom to find and then her mom would hide it once she found it! I thought it was so interesting she was doing the same thing at our apartment. Becky graduated from Snow this year she had hid it once she got home and her mom has yet to find it at her funeral her mom said that Becky will get the last laugh! She had a contagious laugh and a gorgeous smile!

I remember having a late night craving for brownies so Becky, Cassey and me stayed up to make a pan and then eat them all, I remember talking with them about boys at school and the snow ball fight we recently had with some neighboring boys! I remember learning a lot about her that night and thinking to myself about how I was recently getting engaged and praying that my roommates would find someone that made them extremely happy just because Becky always made me so extremely happy!

We would make animal sounds to each other & joke about each others wedding night, I don't know why that came along but it just did. I remember going on drives with all of us roommates for the Late Night Denny Runs, I remember wondering how Becky always was so skinny because that girl could totally pack in a lot of food! I was always jealous of how cool her name was mainly because of her license plate was "B SMART" I mean that is freaking awesome, tells you how easily entertained I was!

Becky was little when her father passed away from Colon cancer, I don't remember her talking much about him; but a few months ago she started asking her siblings and mom about how her dad was and memories of him almost as if she was forgetting about who he was and was trying to remember him. It's safe to say she is now with him! I think that was the most calming thing of the shock of her death was knowing she woke up not only with Heavenly Father but with her dad as well!

Becky had the cutest boyfriend, I never met him but I was looking forward to when I would see she was engaged because they were one of those couples that you love to watch. Cody was with her the night she died, he wrote on his facebook: "I sent an angel to bed with a smile on her face. She woke up in her fathers arms. I'll never be the same and will miss her like crazy. I know you'll always be watching over me just like your dad has done for you. I love you Becky Smart!" Absolutely made me love him, he had some amazing stories of her and how they had decided on wedding colors and were going to look for a ring the weekend she died, instead he picked everything out for her funeral and did it in the colors they picked!

He shared how one Sunday he wanted to skip church to go rock climbing and was trying to get Becky to go with him and she told him no! She gave him approval to go with a friend, after church they were sitting down and he was telling her about rock climbing and he could tell she was upset & he said why are you mad at me you gave me permission! She responded; "Cody I want to know if you are going to be the type of guy who will put his Priesthood responsibilities aside for your own hobby's and joys, because if you are I will not marry you!" I absolutely loved hearing that, it reminded me of Elaine S. Dalton's talk this past General Conference... "Not only did she know who she was, she knew WHOSE she was!"

Becky was a Daughter of God and she didn't ever falter on her choices and wasn't going to take anything less than what she knew she deserved! I loved learning more about someone who I loved!

They still aren't sure what caused her death the autopsy came back negative for a stroke, blood clot, heart issues or drugs.. I instantly thought that sometimes when Heavenly Father wants you he won't make you suffer, I can't imagine how peaceful it must have been for her to meet those waiting for her on the other side!

To end the funeral her cute boyfriend/fiance Cody drove her to the final resting place in the back of his truck! I thought it was so cute and heart warming! I absolutely love everything that he was to Becky! I am sure Becky has told her dad everything about Cody & even though I don't know him I am sure he approves of Cody!

Another little thing about her, the family got approval 6 days after she died to go to the Draper Temple and do her Endowments! I loved knowing she was completely where she needed to be and in the most perfect state, as hard as it was to hear she had passed on, I was so comforted that she was where she needs to be & I can't wait to embrace her tight "Becky hug's"... no one I have ever met gives a hug like she did! I love you Becky, thanks for teaching me so much about life & being the example you were to everyone around you!

Lucky for me I have a picture to cherish of hugging Becky.. sadly it was the day I moved out of the apartment and one of the last times I saw her but luckily I will never forget her impact on me! :) LOVE YOU BECK!

( I could go on for hours about this girl! )

Summer Vacations!

Welp, I at least feel a little bit better about how I have been a slacker on posting because we have been pretty busy throughout June & July!

Some of the things we have done this summer: Bear Lake with Kelly's Family, Fourth Of July parade & Demolition Derby with The Weller's, Drive in movie, Projects around the house, Yard work, BBQ's with family, Kelsey being here for the month of June, CT scans for Kelly, Dance recitals & auditions for the 2013-2014 team, Youth Conference, Organizing & Cleaning out rooms, Kelly's applied for a job in Ogden (Questar), I spent time with some friends from college as well! ...busy summer!

Now that you read the paragraph above you can either quit reading or let me babble on about it...

Kelly's family has always had a tradition of going to Bear Lake, his brother in law Chris grew up in Laketown & his parents have a lakehouse their with a private beach! We went last year and weren't sure if we would be able to go again because they were going to sale the house but we were in luck and they still have it! We spent a weekend up there with some of his family, we hiked to Bloomington Lake on Friday & got shakes, once we finally made it to the house it was starting to rain so we couldn't go out and play. Plus we were beat! Saturday we spent the whole day at the lake, I was smarter this year and wore sunscreen! I hardly got burnt although I was hoping to still get some color it didn't happen. We went out on the sailboat that Andrew has.. only bad thing is you need wind we were stranded for a good hour in the middle of the lake because the wind instantly stopped! Although it was still fun and calming. I love having such a good second family, they are so fun to be around and are very welcoming! I absolutely love our niece's and nephews, sometimes they will never leave me because I guess I am the "cool aunt" and other times they just will play with themselves.

Kelly had some time off for the 4th of July we hung out with our friends Dan & Carli, I love these two. I wonder why we have such great families and then how we can have even better friends! We went to the Kaysville parade & to the Hot Rockin' Fourth Demolition Derby. Let me just say, I am not a fan of  watching parades its insane to me that kids & adults fight for a piece of Salt Water Taffy or a Frisbee. I guess I haven't had to experience watching a normal city parade because I grew up in Hooper where you knew everyone & well its like a 15 minute parade max. plus I am use to always being in the parade. We didn't do any parades for the Studio this year, it was kind of nice but I do enjoy being with my dance girls.
The derby was fun but it was HOT!!! I am not a fan of the crashing cars at least to the point when someone gets carried out on a stretcher, I kept telling Kelly we can go to these but he's not doing one, luckily he got it out of his system before we were married, he swears he didn't like being in it, so he can be part of a
pit crew! While we were at the parade I ran into Markell Anderson, my roommate from Snow! Wow, I have missed her! She was with her family sitting close to us, I kept seeing her dad but wasn't sure if it was them, it didn't seem like an event they would go to, I was wrong they have gone every year and they bet on the cars. I talked with her for a good portion of the night! It was Kelly's second time being around her which was odd because I feel like they know each other pretty dang good!

Is it bad but I cringe at these two words YARD WORK. I don't know why but I am not a fan of it, maybe because of my dad and his way of always making me help and mow his yard! I sometimes make Kelly bribe me so I will mow the lawn or help with weeds. Our house is already landscaped quite well thanks to the people who lived here before that had a landscape business, I have always wanted to change some plants and add some others but I realize that won't happen until I become an avid lover of working out there. Kelly has fixed multiple sprinkler valves and does a big portion of making everything stay nice! Thank goodness! We also bought new patio chairs from Target that I kind of was whining for, we got a Pink, blue, orange & Green one! Now we are going to spray paint the table we have to make it look even cuter and to match the umbrella Kelly bought me last summer!

Since its summer and I only have dance a few mornings & no school Kelly has been nice and started some projects inside the house...he says I have a list of things... well what girl doesn't? He has a list of stuff he wants outside! But we have almost finished our railing & banister he sanded it a while ago but we finally have got around to painting it grey & white. Its taken some getting used to and some serious time between the prep work to the coats of paint and then the clear coat! It makes our walls look grey and it makes me happy to have it look more modern than the oak look! Krystal (Kelly's sister) is a thrifty person and almost every other sunday we have to stop at her house so I can see the projects she is working on, she sprayed paint some lights for her kitchen in bright blue! I loved them & so it made me want to spray paint our light in our entry way, Kelly finally had the time to take it down and paint it for me.. it is now RED! Crazy how much a light thats bronze and ugly before can look so different after a 3 dollar can of spray paint and well I had to get new light covers as well but I love it! I now have been on a kick of painting my bathroom in the hallway, at one point I wanted mint or coral and now its red; I don't know if it will ever happen but I can cross my fingers right? I also have wanted to paint the wall behind the TV in the family room and of course one day we will tear into the kitchen... I dream about granite counter tops and bead board... what is wrong with me?

We have been married almost 15 months and is it bad that I am finally organizing a couple of the rooms, I will admit it is horrible but I have been in a big mood of throwing everything I haven't touched in 6 months away, I have successfully made the craft room not look like an atomic glitter bomb anymore & I finally bought some hangers so I could get my hoodies out of a storage box & I finally moved some of my childhood things down to the basement! Kelly has been shocked I think that I have gone through so many things this summer & I can tell because he doesn't shut the doors as much to the two rooms! I like having it organized I hope I learn how to keep it that way when I go back to work in August.

I have been busy with dance... oh wait when am I not busy with it or coming up with something to teach... yup, NEVER! But, we had the recital for my competition teams and well us Alumni girls as well.. I can be totally honest I was a little nervous its been over a year since I have performed, but once I did it I loved it! We did a lyrical, tap, jazz & hip hop. I remember being on the comp team and watching alumni and thinking that I wanted to be on it one day...its funny how those dreams come true and that I now know my left from right! haha. I was very happy at how my girls did in the lyricals that I taught them a few weeks before the recital, they did awesome... I love lyrical, when a slow song comes on the radio Kelly will look at me and ask if I want to get it for a lyrical next year! The best part of the recital was that me and Alexa did a duet to This Woman's Work by Greg Laswell, we have wanted to come up with one for over a year and never had time so about a week before the recital we met up twice and had the whole dance done, I think some of our girls were shocked that we did it in two practices & I can't lie I was shocked myself that I remembered it for the most part.

The last week of June their was a job opening in Ogden for Questar that Kelly applied for their was 6 guys that put in for it and then it dwindled down to 3 once some things were said about how it would be a pay cut for 5 of the guys! Kelly left his name in, we figured things out and believe that it will work out with how much skid steer jobs he has had, with my coaching and me going back to aide at the school in the fall! Its funny how I feel like that's a blessing because we've paid our tithing! Kelly felt way good about his interview and was pumped up about it he has interviewed for Ogden a couple of times, its hard to get there even though its the same company because Salt Lake doesn't like guys leaving; they have sure taken their sweet time at deciding what guy they want, we know they have met several times to talk about those who applied! We haven't heard anything yet but sure hoping we hear something this week!
I would love if Kelly got into Ogden, it would be a 10 minute drive from our house instead of the 2 hours he spends every day working in SLC. He would get better hours and not have weird shifts & have a lot of on call/ overtime! I would love it, and I know he would too, I think it would be the cherry on top of a long awaited ice cream cone!

In August my mom & me spent time down in Springville babysitting Marci's kids while Landon & her went to Kansas! It was a fun time but boy were we tired! We went swimming one day after Aria & Corbin had swim lessons, that wore them right out! We were happy because that meant we got a nap time as well! Although, the funny part of this vacation is neither my mom or me packed a swimsuit, so we had to go shopping for one with three kids! It wasn't necessarily cheap because we just went to Dillards but I at least walked away with a swimsuit I liked (plus, Princess Aria approved of it)! Aria definitely has some sassy attitude, she knew how to run the house while we were there! We went to Macey's to get some grocery's for Marci when they got back. I had Siri telling us where to go but Aria insisted I turn that lady off and let her give us directions! Aria got us there all by herself! As we walked into Macey's she told us we couldn't get anything until we got an ice cream cone first. But being the sly older child she told us Corbin gets the tiny one and she gets a big one.. Corbin balled once he realized Aria had a bigger one, but once I shared mine he was fine!

Kelly had a CT scan done on his neck and brain... come to find out nothing is wrong and the neurologist said he doesn't need to see him anymore unless his headaches get worse... I can't say we were happy about that appointment because we are even more lost on what to do now, especially after spending the money on all we did to get nowhere. The good news is Kelly has felt like his headaches aren't as bad & he thinks clearer..which makes me happy. He is wanting to go see his ENT to see if he thinks there is anything on the scans. I also bought Doterra Oils for headaches, Kelly didn't really want me to but I figured we might as well try what we can.. he hasn't had serious enough aches to use them on although it helped when he hurt his back picking up a sledgehammer at work, my mom has also used them on her hips to get sleep at night!

Kelsey came to visit for a weekend in August! We met Marci at Scheels and went to a Mexican restaurant plus Ikea! Man, I love that store its a good thing it isn't that close to me! Max & Graham are so cute, and that proud grandpa! It was a fun day! Plus we were all together for national sibling day!

Okay, this is dragging on longer than I thought it would... too much is coming to my brain..

I also got to do lunch with Kenzie Butler after Becky's funeral...It was fun to talk to one of my best friends.. I miss her and wish I lived closer to her!

Keli Riley also came to my house & we talked about married life and laughed and laughed and laughed at pictures she had from college, man I was a little poop! We had to much fun! She wasn't sure if she had found my house and then she pulled in and saw the Ephraim sign hanging in our garage and she said "She knew she was HOME" ... not very many people have that in their garage! :) I love her! I was so blessed to have the roommates I did & to be able to have them as great friends, if only I could relive the college memories and soak them up more than I did!

Here are some pictures throughout the summer:

...well, I think that is all I have for this novel if you read this whole thing give yourself a pat on the back! :)
