I can not believe that Charli is outgrown her little baby carseat! In a way it makes me excited to not have to pack her in that carseat anymore but it makes me sad that she's that big!
At the end of September I weighed her at my sisters house. (I really need to buy a scale!) After I realized she was 25lbs. I about died. How could my little girl be that big! No wonder why my arm gets tired after awhile. he he.
From 7 lbs to 25 lbs in 10 months. Wow!
Luckily the carseat situation has worked out in our family. Marci's baby carseat is expiring in November and we had bought a new one when we had Charli. So we were going to share carseats.
We made the switch so we could take Marci's old one in to get traded out at a trade in event at Babies R Us.
As Kelly & I were looking at all the carseats I had already had my eye on one. Meaning, I knew what one we were getting. Well we took a couple out to the car and tried them. They were just so bulky for my little Benz. Once we tried the one I wanted it fit like a glove. I loved it.
The only problem was that they had to order and ship it to us. The carseat had only been on the shelves for a couple months. So they are selling like crazy. Weird right! Well its the Graco 4Ever. Its a convertible carseat but it also will last from 4lbs to 150lbs. Meaning it goes from rear facing to front facing and then a booster to a backless booster.
Kelly wasn't thrilled it is a $300 carseat. But I knew that with a trade in that we would be okay with that. Well then as we were talking to the guy about the seat he mentioned that with the credit card we would get even more off. We don't have credit cards which is fine. I thought Kelly would be like well we don't need to do that.. Then he said well you can have it in your name.
So we got an even better deal on the carseat about 45% off. The total was $190!
It came in a couple of days and was so easy to install.
I love the LATCH system it is so handy. The one complaint I have is that its not very easy because we can't move it from car to car very quickly. So I may get a different seat for Kelly's vehicle.
Other than that I am pleased!
Sitting in Auntie M's carseat. This is the carseat Charli came home in.
Charli's carseat we got last christmas.. Definitely had outgrown it!
First time sitting in the new one.. ahhh.. Not so happy!
She looks so much smaller in this picture. It took me awhile to adjust it to being level in the car and getting the headrest down enough to where her head wasn't falling forward so much.
Sleeping safe and sound. She's a chunk. But boy am I glad for a nice carseat and one that will be able to last for so many years!
I would definitely buy this again and again.
