I may have had to hold back some tears today. It was hard waking up and thinking how do I have a 10 month old! Although we got up and got dressed. And had our monthly photo shoot. Which isn't always the easies thing to do. Sometimes I get pretty frustrated with her trying to ruin the number.
But we always happen to get an adorable picture. That's all that matters. Thank goodness for Burst mode!
We are in charge. We love to play with our toys and can spend hours with them.
I don't really know if she has a favorite toy or not. I can't really tell.
She sometimes seems a little bored with them and throws them all around the room.
We like to sit and open our legs out really wide and roll through our middle splits.
Which after we roll through we are good to roll over every which way and try and scoot.
No we don't scoot forward but we are good at pushing ourselves back.
Which that gets really irritating because we go farther away from the toys instead of closer. Then we try and roll towards them and we don't always know which way to roll. We get our arms stuck sometimes and can't remember how to roll.
Nap time is still a great time. Where mom still takes pictures.
I love those cute pants and her adorable #cutie onesie.
Clothes: 9 months in everything. Which oddly enough we don't have a lot in this size. So that means more fun shopping for momma. The Chevron pants above are actually 12 months. The Circo brand definitely runs small.
Diaper Size: Size 3. Hard to believe there was a day we were in newborns.
Food: We love baby food and eat it 2-3 times a day. We love our bottles still. Puffs and Frozen Yogurt bites are really yummy too. Although sometimes my mom only gives them to me when I am being noisy so in hopes I will be quiet.
Words: We jabber. Kelly was watching her one night and when I got home he said. Man she talks. And I kind of wanted to look at him and say "Where have you been?" She definitely try to mimic sometimes. I think I have heard bye, hi, otay, yeah, dada and of course MAMA!
Actions: Wave, Clapping, Flapping like a bird (favorite), Squinting our face to smile, Tongue out, blowing bubbles, farting noises, smacking lips.
Songs: We love itsy bitsy spider, patty cake and Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam, wheels on the bus and anything that mom plays in the car! Music is our happiness. Its on at home, in the car and sometimes during nap time. I love the Primary Song Lullabye album.
Books: We love books. But of course you can't go wrong with "Your babies first word will be DADA" by Jimmy Fallon. We also love "Oh the places you'll go" by Dr. Seuss
Sleeping & Naps: Sleeping through the night! Naps can last from about an hour to sometimes over 2 hours. We aren't afraid of sleeping. Sometimes we just have to be coaxed with a bottle.
Kissing: We finally kiss. She will lean towards you and kiss you. She doesn't close her mouth so its a little wet tongue kiss. But I love it. Every morning she will give me about 5 kisses. The rest of the day I have to work for them.
Waving: We do still wave but not as much. We are trying to learn hello!
Head butting: This girl is the queen of head butting. I can't tell you how many times she has knocked me pretty hard with her noggin. It definitely is a solid Malone noggin because she rarely cries. Even though I want to cry. She loves to push her head up against yours and try to get you out of her face.
Screaming: We would pass the AP exam on screaming. We know how to pitch a good fit.
Teeth: Still no teeth. Which makes wanting to eat everything mom and dad have hard. She will eat some bread and other small meltable things. I have been hesitating a lot of food because she just doesn't have the teeth yet.
Laughing: We know how to giggle thats for sure.
Fake Sneezing: The last few days we will fake sneeze. I don't know how she does it but she definitely isn't really sneezing.
Binky or Thumb: Thumb. We have been a thumb sucker for a good solid 3-4 months. We love our thumb. We get confused when mom puts us in a long sleeve onesie. We think its always bed time.
Shiny things: We absolutely love shiny things. Grandma Malone always wears a necklace so I can pull and chew on it. Anyone who holds me that has jewelry on better watch out. I also love staring at moms wedding ring.
Movement: Like I said earlier we aren't really crawling. But we do roll and scoot backwards. We don't really have any need to do much. We like to sometimes stand on our feet at the dance studio and act like we are a big kid.
Nicknames: Char Bar, Turkey Tot, Char and sometimes an occasional stinker.
All in all this girl keeps me on my toes and very busy. But I love her. Its funny how becoming a mom really does feel an empty part in your heart that you didn't know you had. Oh Charli if I could stop time I would. But I like seeing what you will do next.
Love you Turkey.
This picture was taken at Baby Norah's Baby Blessing at the beginning of August.
Crazy the change from 9 months to 10 months. Ahhh.
