1989 World Tour - Taylor Swift

This was the day I have been waiting for like five months for.

Kelly took the day off and we spent the morning at the eye doctors to get his eyes checked & my contacts looked at.

We then took Charli to Grandma Malone's and left to Salt Lake!

When we got there we walked to Temple Square and looked at the visitors center. They had these really cool movies about missionaries sharing their stories of why they went and what they learned from certain families. The church always does such an outstanding job with filming, editing and the room that this was in. It was so neat. They had three tv's that played each movie, an iPad that controlled which one you wanted to watch. Then the wall behind the TV's had all these missionary name tags in different languages. It also had two smaller screens that said how many missionaries there have been since the church was organized and the other one listed all the places missionaries serve in the world.

So cool. I suggest you go down and check that place on in the visitors center!

This is looking from the gateway. We counted about 30 trucks and 10 tour buses. It was crazy. I can't imagine having something that big going around the USA. So cool! It gave me chills before we even saw the concert.

Then we walked to City Creek and walked around all my favorite stores. H&M, Forever 21, Apple, Anthropology, Foot Locker.. Pretty much every store.

We grabbed some lunch at Johnny Rockets. Yummy hamburgers and a Reeses' Shake.
"You know its a special day when your husband is the one who orders dessert!"

Then it was getting close to the concert time and we walked over to the ESA. Well all of the radio booths were there. My favorite 97.1 had a booth. They had a wheel out and you could win something. We watched someone else do it and they won a free Taylor Swift tour shirt. Well.. so Kelly spun. He lost. I spun and .... dun dun dun.. I won!!!! I got a 1989 tour t-shirt. It was a little big for me but still people were paying $35 dollars for it!

We then went over to the gateway to get a drink and look around before the doors opened. I put on my t-shirt and was so happy!!!

We then took some good old selfies with the selfie stick!

The doors opened to the concert and it was a mad house. So many people. Kelly was complaining about how he's the only guy there.. Then I reminded him. Hey you wanted to see her and just like all these other men that are here they like her too buddy!

We went over to the different booths that were there. Diet Coke & Keds were my favorite.

We got our picture taken with Diet Coke and they emailed it to us. Pretty Cool.

Then we went over to Ked's. We waited in line and had another picture taken. This one printed out and you got a free glow stick or some other little trinkets. They had a whole wall of shoes that Taylor Swift has designed for Ked's. It was awesome. I was showing them to Kelly and one of the workers walked up and said. Did you take a picture yet? I told her we had done one and she said well if you do one over here with any of these and use the #kedsontour you could be entered to win a free pair of keds. She gladly took a picture of me and Kelly. I posted it on Instagram. I thought that would be cool to win but you know I already won once today.

The winning picture!

We went to our seats and looked around. We noticed that all the chairs had wrist bands on them.
Well the concert started and Vance Joy opened. It was awesome! He is a great performer.

We saw Taylor and her mom before anyone else from where we were sitting. It was awesome. Right as it started our wristbands were synced with all the lights on stage. It was so cool.

She sang 18 songs. It was pure AWESOME! I was screaming her songs just like everyone else. Then I looked over and so was Kelly.. That's my husband!

After we piled into the crazy crowd and I got a blanket and a keychain. Kelly gave me crap for doing it but. I just love my girl Tay. Sorry!

After we left the concert I looked at my phone and noticed that I had WON! Yes, I won a free pair of Ked's. We parked the car and ran back into the ESA. Well they had already cleaned up the Ked's booth. The security thought we were crazy and tried to stop us. Once we told them what was going on, one of them took us over to where the booth was. I was bummed. I was hoping that I would be able to still contact someone. Well I wrote back to Ked's on Instagram and they got back to me a few days later and gave me my promo code for the shoes. The only bummer is you can't get a Taylor Swift pair or a Kate Spade. I really love those ones more but of course.. there is always a catch. Oh well a free pair of shoes still.

We got back to my parents home and picked up Charli. She was such a great little girl from what my parents said. She was already fast asleep. It was really a FABULOUS day! It was totally worth the 5+ months I waited for! I will definitely being seeing Tay Tay at every concert in the future!

A big thank you to my hunky husband who got me lower bowl tickets and gave me a great night!
I love you! Best 23rd birthday present and anniversary gift!
