18.5 days & counting down

I have always been a fan of summer! But this year I think is the first year that I am really looking forward to it, okay maybe because I am sick of the kids at work and their lazy, unhappy attitudes! They all act like there life is hard, we have just started to tell them; so who took your crayons and made you so mad? 

I don't think the kids are even caring that summer is getting closer, sadly because I know they don't get to go on vacations to Hawaii, a family cabin, camping, cruise or anything! I even believe that there parents dislike summer because they sadly can't send them off to school to be babysat for 8 hours! 

I feel bad for some of the kids who walk the halls of this school! We have one sixth grader named Issac whose dad passed away Sunday night. His dad has been sick for a few years and issac is high functioning autism, we were all thinking he won't be coming back to school for awhile and he showed up today, he says he's okay with it but we doubt that its hit him yet! He lives with grandma and mom is nowhere in the picture, I really hope that kids like him can overcome the hard things in life and become something wonderful! He is one of my favorite 6th graders he is funny, he quotes movies all the time and he always can make you smile! 

This past weekend Kelly and I went to spend time with friends in the Uintas! It was a blast we rode four wheelers and ate a ton of food! We really are surrounded by good friends and I am glad that I can say I enjoy Kelly's friends! I am grateful we finally got ourselves a four wheeler from my father, it has already been fun! And who knew but you can fit 4 adults on it and a big dog! Our friends four wheeler ended up losing air in two tires so we all rode back on ours! We got quite the looks from some people! 

Summer will be fun, I hope to get caught up on something's and organize our house! Maybe paint my bathroom, we really are wanting to work in the yard a lot too, sadly a few of our trees are dead and I hate some plants that we have! Kelly is looking forward to laundry being caught up and maybe having dinner made more frequently! I feel bad that its not something I can stay caught up on while I have school and dance, but luckily he understands and helps out with doing it all! 

I also am looking forward to having auditions for our new competition teams! It's always fun to meet new girls and start new dances! I love working with Lisa and Alexa they are a great pair and very talented! I also am hoping that girls camp will be fun too now that we have new leaders I have struggled with how things have changed and the girls have as well! 

All in all the countdown is 18.5 days till summer.... Sadly it's 85 degrees outside and I am still white! It will be one hot summer!
