Here is my adorable home... okay it was what I like to refer to it as a cardboard box.
Not in any way is this to put down anyone sense of style because I completely understand how this would be fine for a certain individual like a bunch of single boys, it was a Bachelor Pad you know. If it would have been decorated with a womanly touch there would have been a LOT more issues.
Yeah... who has a front door that matches their house? ...Not us anymore!
I remember this was the first thing that was "girly".. Kelly cringed that day.
As you move around the house you surely can tell it was just all warm brown tones..
(Don't judge this picture because this was as bridal showers were happening & wedding aftermath)
The front room was the first thing I remember working on. Mainly because my AWESOME Mother in law got me that Zebra chair as an "early wedding gift"...that was totally for me and not kelly! hehe.
Kelly also bought me the leather white loveseat. He hated me after we spent a few hours putting it together and that once he sat down on it he said, "that is the most uncomfortable couch ever, i hope your happy."
There is proof my kitchen was clean at some points in time. This shows off the great dated lighting, tan walls (mind you ever room in the house is painted this color except for the downstairs basement because its cobalt blue & black).
This shows you the oak banister and how it totally is a different shade from the cabinets. Also check out the base trim and how short it is!
I look back at these pictures in shock about how the home we live in now is still the same home but how little old us put it all together in a way that not only are we proud of but excited about.
You may say I'm spoiled and I'll agree... but I love LOVE love LOVE this house now and can't wait to share the updated photos soon! eeek!
