Doctor Doctor Give Me The News!

The last 2 weeks of my life has been a little like this!

Eye Appointment: Finding out I am really blind and needing to get glasses & contacts ASAP
(I only made the appointment because a week before I totally couldn't read what Hymn we were suppose to be singing at church. I was way off and then Kelly was like you really can't see that!)

I went in to my doctor for a check up because I have had horrible bladder control since Charli! Like somedays I have peed my pants multiple times! She couldn't do much to help me there since I am too young for surgery and she didn't want to put me on medication for it!
Well all was good until what came next.. I ended up leaving with two shots and my blood drawn.

She was feeling my thyroid and noticed a nodule! She asked me if we had any family with thyroid problems. I instantly said well my mom has had issues for the last year with hers. They have done ultrasounds, biopsy's and they have all come back non conclusive to being cancerous. So they haven't been able to prove what they are and just are waiting to see if they keep growing.

I will be getting an ultrasound done on my thyroid.
Well after finally getting the ultrasound done and going through the ringer to try and pay for the visit up front and going through a whole bunch of people who couldn't tell me what I needed to pay. I finally had it done. They obviously can't tell me anything up front but they can tell me that they have no idea what that just really should have cost me.
It was odd getting an ultrasound. Just nine months ago I was getting an ultrasound done for the last time on my baby! I was able to see her face, toes and legs.. hear her heartbeat. A thyroid is so lame to see in an ultrasound. I couldn't tell what I was looking at.. it boggles my mind that the tech knows what to look at and that a radiologist could even see what was good or bad!

We should know those results later on this next week!

We had Charli's 9 month appointment which went great I love her pediatrician but I hate the hour wait we have almost overtime we are there. It is really hard to keep your kid entertained. I love how she is with Charli and she is super helpful.

Contact Consultation.

I had an appointment once again for my eyes. I have never had contacts and so that was quite the interesting thing to have those put in. They weren't exactly the right prescription. So I will be trying on some new ones in a week or so. My doctor was really weird and kept talking to me about cost and all these different contacts? But then he would say well you can't really wear those they won't work and they are more expensive.. Dude, just give me the contacts you think are best after all your the doctor.

Eventually I will get contacts right?!!
I probably wouldn't be so ornery about him if I wouldn't have seen all these other doctors in the same week.

Funny thing! When I walked in for that appointment I said that I was there to see Dr. Eggert (he's our dentist) the office lady looked at me like what?! She then said he doesn't practice here I don't think.. It finally clicked that I was talking about the dentist! In guilt because I still have some dental work that needs to be done... Does it ever end?! I am only 23 and I feel like I am falling apart!


We also got two new tires on my car and let me just tell you after going to Discount Tires 4 times in 2 days I didn't know it was that hard to put on new tires!

First day- We went in to order the new tires so we could get them on the next day
Second day- They were suppose to call me and tell me if they had them in by noon. I didn't hear anything so I called in. Well they hadn't heard anything and said they would call me back after looking. Well a few hours later nothing... I finally called in again and they said they had them.
I went in and waited for the tires to be put on. Not to bad. Kelly met me after he got off work and we walked over to KFC and got dinner.
They got them on relatively quick. But as I drove off I could hear this grinding, rubbing sound when I would turn left. Well I called Kelly and he met me at a parking lot to look at it. Well sure enough they had put on weight that they shouldn't have and it was grinding on the tire
Third day- Kelly told me that they needed to take the weight off the tire and they need to put a tape weight on. So what do I do drive in and tell them that they need to do that... What do they do? You guess it they made it sound like it was grinding anymore. Well they didn't listen..
Later that day Kelly met me to go to yet another Doctor appointment but luckily it was Charli's 9 month. As we were leaving the appointment he was checking out the car and noticed that one of the back rims was horribly scratched and he wasn't happy at all with how it looked. I had told him that they didn't really fix the weight and he looked underneath the car and no weight was changed..
A drive back and we were at Discount once again. This time with Kelly so he could get the things done that were suppose to be done. I had told Kelly previously that for some reason men who work in car places do not listen to woman!! This was proof.
They instantly started to work on the car... I was even sitting in the car with Charli as they lifted the car to take the tires off! They also said they will send someone out to fix the rim at our house!
So what should have taken an hour max to change 2 tires... ended up taking 4 times and 3 days to get it done right.

My biggest pet peeve isn't at all at how we were treated but it seems that the guys who work in these places think they no more about the car than the owners. So if the owner tells you to do something you should just do it the way they want it done. Right? After all the owners know more about their car than you. I also am sick of hearing mechanics tell me about how they would never own a Mercedes. You know... I am glad you don't want one but that doesn't mean anything to me because I personally love my car and you wouldn't hate working on them so much if you would listen to the owner and what they know about their own car!! Rant Over.. but don't worry I could go on! I still need to get an alignment done and I can't bring myself to going to Big O to get it done yet!
