That's Right Baby Nelson is Coming!!!

You read it right.. Baby Nelson is coming November 2014! We are so excited, nervous, anxious and well lots of other emotions but that may be because of the hormones.

I decided that it would be fun to have the dates of all the things that happened with this little one coming!
Found out: March 20th
Told Grandma Smith: April 3rd
Told family: April 5th & 6th
First Appointment: May 1st
Telling my dance girls: May 3rd
Telling friends & ward members: May 4th
Morning Sickness: Once with Grandma Smith going to dinner. At school the following week after being in a car. Then, after eating at El Matador at 11 weeks didn't last very long till we were pulled over.
Nicknames: Little Bean.
We try to not say he or she because we normally start telling each other that they are wrong.

A dose of Morning Sickness
Every Christmas we give her a coupon to go to dinner with us when it gets warmer. She loves getting out of the house and I think she looks forward to it all week & then talks about it the following week.
It was finally warm enough so we made it a date.

Kelly got home from work and I just woke up from a nap. I was loving naps at the time. Although, I was starving and Kelly was going to shower. I grabbed some chips and tried to just lightly snack so I wouldn't die by the time we got to Taggart's. I looked at their online menu because I was that hungry.
I knew what I wanted.

We got in the car and drove to Grandmas. The whole drive there we were debating on telling her at dinner that we were expecting. We finally decided that we should tell her.. Then we got into her car and headed out for the night. I was totally fine the whole ride and it was fun chatting with Grandma. Right as we headed into the canyon.. I instantly just felt nausea! I remember thinking; "This can't happen right now. I am in Grandma Smiths car! She wasn't suppose to find out till later! What is going on with me!" ... then it came and I was holding it in my hand.. Kelly looked over and said "Maggie, are you okay?!" I then pointed to the exit on the side and he rolled down my window.. I tried to get what was on me off, I then spent the next little while puking. Grandma was so happy to see me barf, it was almost odd. Right as it happened she said "You are Pregnant aren't you?!" ...I will never forget that. As much as I felt horrible it was so sweet hearing her get all happy that I just had puked in her car.

I thought that if we drove the rest of the way with the window down I would be fine. Which I was but that night it was crazy busy and I didn't think after the wait I was going to be able to handle all the smells. I went outside several times to get some fresh air. I felt like I had to make this work because it was for Grandma. Finally Kelly called it as a night and drove us both home. On the way home Grandma swore that she would keep it a secret for a few days. She also said she was going to lie and say that dinner was amazing.

After we got back to her house I was freezing and just wanted to be out of the clothes I was in and in my bed with some sprite. That smell lingers on you that you have thrown up. I hate it!

Grandma said well thanks for taking me up the canyon and on a beautiful drive to tell me that I am getting my 15th Great-Grandchild. She was so happy!!

Not Diggin' the Mexican!
This Baby does not like Mexican food. As odd as that sounds I use to go to Costa Vida at least 3+ times a month and well now those trips have ended. I still love my chips and salsa and that sits fine but throw some pork or burrito and that baby will make me so stinking sick. High five little one.

Telling Family!
I decided a fun jar of Prego Spaghetti sauce would be a fun way to tell everyone. My family caught on quite fast and my dad ended up sending a picture of me and Kelly to my aunts & uncles. The following day we told Kelly's Parents. They were hilarious. Deb opened the bag and started to get up and said oh I can make dinner for you. All of us started cracking up. She didn't get but all the sisters did. Then, Kelly's dad came in from outside and he did the same thing but he kept looking for noodles. It was a good laugh!

Although, for a few weeks before I told my family my oldest sister Marci was catching on & it was so hard to lie to her and act like nothing was changing. So, I should of known she would call Kelsey and then Kelsey would harass me but in the end they were right.

The First Appointment!
After some talking to friends & family we decided that we wanted to go to the Circle of Life Women's Center. We went to the first one last Thursday. Dr. Bierer was such a nice doctor and was very funny. I was nervous to see what they would say but, he is super laid back and relaxed. It made me happy that he pretty much said do whatever you are already doing. After lots of blood tests we were finally out of there with our DVD in hand and a cute picture of our little bean! They are hoping that we will be able to tell what we are having at our next appointment.

We are now 12 weeks & Due November 18th 2014

Don't Forget About Nala: After talking to Nala she decided she wanted to announce something as well. She did really good for putting up with waiting for treat for the 10 minutes it took us to get her to sit just right and getting the book to stay up.

I told my Young Women girls with this picture. They weren't really sure when I said HUMAN what I was meaning but once I got to the word BABY... they erupted into cheering. It was so funny to see their faces of shock!

Losing her spot on the bed? Nala, will learn eventually that she's not going to get the whole bed to herself and that changes will be coming. But, we still love this little pup and she will always be our little Nala!

Telling my Competition Teams: We had a competition at Roy High. It was the last one of the year and I had finally had my first appointment. I will be honest I had a few days that it was hard to keep it from them and I am surprised more didn't catch on when I was talking to Lisa or Alexa about it. But, it finally came time to tell them.

Alexa and me planned to do a skit for them to Ice, Ice Baby. I tapped the ultrasound to me and wore a jacket. It was fun & I was shocked at how many girls pulled out their own phones to record us. After, I announced it they all had a million questions & name ideas. (All of the name ideas consisted of long variations of all of their names!) The girls wanted to post things online and I begged them not to until I posted something the next day! Those girls get me more and more excited. I already had about 50+ of my own adopted kids but now its time for Baby Nelson.
