Pears or Apples.

Ever had to decided between what fruit you would rather eat. Well, I have to decided that almost every morning about what I want to put into my smoothie. I will be honest I haven't used pears. Mainly, it consists of spinach, bananas, mangos, berries & yogurt. Okay, that isn't not what I wanted to say but now you know what I have for breakfast.

Back to the real news!

This last friday I got the best thing ever! Ah.. I can't even begin to tell you! I could pick between keeping the 'pear' I already had or getting an 'apple'.

Do you see where this is going?

If not.

I got to go to the Simply Mac store & get my very first iMac! (insert clapping & jumping here)

I was so happy! It was so nice to pick the things out I wanted for my new setup. They ended up giving me a pretty good deal. Okay, when anything involves 'Apple' it isn't cheap but a break is a break right?

I left my laptop with them that night in hopes that I could pick it up Saturday. After waiting all day Saturday it wouldn't be done until Sunday. I guess I had to many pictures to transfer over. But, it was so totally worth them transferring everything over for me!

It was hard to sleep in the excitement I had going on in my head. I am somewhat a 'tech' lover. It was almost like Christmas. Who am I kidding?

Monday, I couldn't wait for my lunch break to come so I could go and pick everything up. It was the BEST lunch break EVER! After school, I came home & pushed everything that was on my desk to the ground.

Unwrapping things is always fun but this was like 10x's better than I could imagine. The sound of it first turning on & playing the very first song was just BLISS! I loved it! Just look at that amazing 27 inches of sure bliss!

Thank you Kelly!
I get so excited about this Tech stuff and he just sits back & lets me do the things I want. In fact, as I write this he is on the floor behind me passed out asleep. Sadly, he will probably get use to falling asleep in this room. But, I am so happy & grateful for someone who spoils me. I guess I should compare this glorious computer to him snowmobiling on a good powder day then he may understand.

As for now, I am in a state of happiness. I can't wait for all the things I can create on here. I still have a million and five things to go through on here & organize but it is totally worth it!

Some may be okay with a 'pear'.. But, I picked the best 'Apple' on the tree!

A Spoonful of Sugar...

So tonight I just wanted a spoonful of ice cream. Not a whole bowl! A) because I am lazy. B) It's another dish to get into the dishwasher. C) believe it or not I do want to eat better.

I grabbed a spoon and our favorite Tillamook Ice cream. I was ready to dig in. I broke a small piece off and well I think the picture explains what happened.

I just had to laugh.. Maybe I have gained some super strength.

I do highly recommend if you haven't tried Oregon Strawberry you need to get in your car, go to Winco & the rest will be history!

Celebration Photos

Aren't these just adorable people!

A little candy gram from the bubble.

Balloons, palm tree & pineapples! Oh don't forget the crepe paper.

The kids built a karaoke machine. So funny. Especially the song choices.

This cake had some issues but it was so delicious. I could of ate all of it by myself. It had Oreo crumbles and delicious strawberries.

Happy Birthday Mom!

I have never really talked much about Kelly's parents. I can't tell you how much I adore these two people! They both have such great personalities. They are caring, happy, welcoming & charitable.
I knew that they were awesome when I met & dated Kelly; just because he was such a wonderful guy. But, to be honest I didn't really get to learn much about his parents individually.. I still don't know them completely. But, I wasn't wrong they are awesome parents. Heck raising 7 kids & surviving. (That should be a book title!)

This last summer when we went to Virden, New Mexico to see Kelly's grandparents. I realized how awesome of a family I married into. I knew that before I set foot into his grandparents home & even before I met some of his Aunts & Uncles for his cousins wedding. But, it was so fun to be on vacation with Kelly's parents and with his sister Kimmy. I learned & experienced where Don grew up or should I say Grant? Since we are talking about Virden.

A few months after we were married I was trying to find a part-time job and something that would work with my dance schedule. Nothing, was really working and I was more than willing to work. One night Kelly's mom called and said that there may be a position open at her elementary school for Resource. I started to get excited! Working at a school sounded like so much fun! It was an instant flashback to when I would play school with my friends. I was happy because I wouldn't have to work weird weekend hours. Sundays would be open and free.

The next couple days I went in and met Cara. Who is now my 'boss'. I didn't even know that the position wasn't really opened. But, after a five minute meeting with the principal I walked out hired. Ever since then I got to learn first hand about Kelly's mom. Some say that must be hard or weird to work with your Mother in Law? And to you I say you are high in the night. I absolutely love it.

I can walk into her classroom and grab a handful of M&M's, some lotion & back at work I go. I love the small chatting we get and the times we eat lunch together. I honestly feel so lucky that I get to see her 5 days out of the week. I love her laugh, there are times I try to impersonate it & I just can't do it justice. I love the jokes we share about going on trips together but that our husbands are too cheap.

Okay... So you are probably wondering why I titled this post "Happy Birthday Mom!"
Today is Deb's birthday! She is turning 62.. oops. I mean 26!
I was so excited when her birthday was getting close! Cara & I would sit and talk about what we should do! Cara finally said lets do a Cruise theme since Deb is always talking about going on a cruise. Done & Done!

This year could possibly be her last year teaching. For that I am bummed and in a way wish I could still work with her. But, she needs to go on and do better things. So we wanted to make this a big celebration. I will truly miss her & the atmosphere at work will change quickly if she leaves. It bums me out to think about not having her there. But then as being part of the family I am excited for them to go on a couples mission, go on cruises & enjoy life together. Man, I am torn!

I went to the dollar store Monday and picked up anything Hawaiian, I was getting so excited because I knew her students would love the theme & it would be so fun for these dragging winter days.
Tuesday, Deb wasn't at work she had some district meetings. Perfect! I got to decorate her room & let her students help. I made a candy gram poster & got some balloons. Cara got the cake & we were ready to rumble. I couldn't wait for Wednesday!

The day started out with getting the kids their leis & giving Deb balloons and the candy gram from 'the bubble'. Krystal & Kishell stopped by with Ash, Jessie & Hailey. They gave Grandma some candy, a balloon and hung out for a little bit.

Kelly has been working nights this week so I told him to come eat lunch with us & invite his dad. Once Kelly came we went to Costa Vida and picked up everyone's lunch. We sat and ate and enjoyed each others company for awhile. It was fun to have Kelly at work as a bonus!

The kids in Deb's classroom made a karaoke machine and they were singing songs off of Youtube. It is so funny to me that they are so good at singing and dancing. It was a fun day at work & I think everyone enjoyed it.

I am so happy I get to spend so much time with Kelly's Mom. I love her. I can't imagine if I would have got a different job or married into a different family. I hope she had a wonderful birthday even if it wasn't on Royal Carribean, Carnival or Princess Cruise Lines because today it came to Sunset Elementary.

Happy Birthday My Awesome Second Mom!
(I will post pictures tomorrow)

Love Day 2014

We all say how much we love and appreciate our significant others. Weather, it be a boyfriend/girlfriend/crush/wife or husband! I will be honest this year I had no idea what we were going to do for Valentines. I had totally racked my mind for Kelly's 25 days of Christmas and last year I did 14 days of love! I couldn't come up with anything. I finally realized that no matter what I do he will enjoy it.. It doesn't matter what I do as long as he doesn't get a pair of skinny jeans & stilettos.

Thursday night I called Kelly to see if he was home from work. He was getting home at different times last week since he was doing Welding school down in Salt Lake. Once he answered the phone, I told him I was on my way home. That is when his voice turned to panic, he instantly said "uhm, can you go to the store and get milk & bread! We are out!" .. I knew right then he was  up to something. I tried to say well can't we just go together tonight. I finally said I would go to the store and get milk & bread. He wanted me to send him a text when I left the store.

I walked into our house with milk & bread, walked upstairs & there was a clean kitchen, a note & 12 beautiful roses! ...I was so happy! He was so happy! He then admitted he was hurrying to type up the note, cut it out & the stems of the roses! On his note he wrote about how the flower selection the day before is much better! His wife deserves the best flowers & all this mushy stuff. I sat and smelled them for a good half hour. They were perfect! (I even got out our humidifier so it would keep them from drying out.)

For one of my Christmas gifts from Kelly was a couple gift cards to Farr Fresh! If you have not been there you must try it out! It is AWESOME! It is self-serve frozen yogurt, their flavors change out every so often and they have tons of toppings! Yum! (I almost want to leave work right now to go get some!)

Kelly's Ice Cream
My Delicious Bowl

Thursday night, we went to Farr's Fresh for the second time in two weeks. They have a heavenly Dole Whip that tastes just like Disneyland. We also love their banana & huckleberry!

Before we left I caught these two watching the Winter Olympics. Man, I just think they are adorable! Nala, just loves Kelly. Wherever he goes in the house or even outside she just wants to be with him. I don't think she really cares if she's with me! But, when Kelly is gone she will mope around the house waiting for his return!
Finally Friday came! I enjoy Friday's. I have the day off most of the time plus its the day that I normally get to spend with my parents if they are around. Since, it was 'Love Day' my parents were celebrating in Logan by themselves. I ran around different stores trying to return a few things & come up with a couple more things for Kelly.I definitely had to go to Zurchers. I love that place! I love balloons, I don't even know if Kelly even cares about them, but I grew up with my dad getting me them for Valentines & my mom always would bring us balloons They always have such fun balloons for Valentines. They even already have some bouquets ready to buy! I was looking at the price of one already made & I couldn't believe how much they were. So, I walked around finding those exact balloons to see how much they were with hi-float. How much the weight would cost & the foil balloon. I realized it was marked way to high. I mentioned it to a worker and they ended up making cheaper than if I would of picked the balloons and weight out myself. SCORE!
At home I already had a mug, card & a 5lb. bag of gummy bears. I just needed something he would really get use out of. I was in Wal-mart, it finally clicked that he just got new work boots and needed some longer socks. We had already bought some but not very many.. so what did Kelly get for love day.. work socks! Yay!

He just loves pictures on Holidays.

Friday Night, we were planning to go to Texas Roadhouse. We tried to call ahead, guess what? They say you can call in on Valentines Day but their phone was busy.. coincidence! We went in just to see how bad the wait would be it was an hour and a half to two hours. The crazy thing is that people were waiting!! We decided we would just go next week. Instead we drove around to see what was less busy and ended up eating at Cafe Rio. Not that I complain, since that was where we had our first date. It was still quite a wait but worth it!

After we ate we still had a few hours to either walk around the mall before we went and saw a movie. Although, we weren't really in love with seeing a certain movie. Kelly ended up picking Labor Day, it was an interesting movie. It is based on a novel, it didn't start till after 10 pm I am surprised we made it on time. I had to go home to get my 'fat pants' on. I knew with going to a movie that late I wanted to be comfortable. We ended up running into Mickenzie & Josh. We talked to them before heading in to the movie, they are just the cutest couple. I love talking to them & spending time with them! I got my large popcorn and was totally settled in for a good movie. After the movie we were talking about the plot & I said to Kelly. Sometimes, I wish I liked to read books. Kelly started laughing at me.. I then finished my sentence 'but it's easier to watch a movie for two hours!'

It was such a fun night & I am so glad I get to have dates like that with Kelly whenever I want!
I love you Mr. Nelson!
To the Moon & Back!!

Time Flies!

Another week has come and gone! It was another week that I realized I have low patience. We have been debating on selling my car for a little while. I have wanted something new & such. Monday night, Kelly vacuumed it and put it up on KSL. I was excited that I was getting closer to getting a new car!

A few days later we started doubting if it was worth doing. My car is completely fine, in fact I have never had very many issues with it in the 2+ years I have had it. So on Thursday night we decided to wait a few months till we have the truck completely paid off this summer! Yay! It was kind of hard for me to realize that I could make it a few months. That is another reason why I am so grateful for Kelly! It will be a lot nicer to not have two loans out at the same time. Man, he is a smarty even though it took him a while to convince me!

I can't believe that Valentines Day is around the corner. 2014 is going way too fast already. To be completely honest I don't know what I will come up with for Kelly. Since I did the 25 day countdown to Christmas, my ideas are fresh out still. Their is one thing I have told him that I wanted to do and that is eating at Macaroni Grill. We will see if that happens!

Did you know that my favorite day of the week is Friday? Okay, everyone probably likes Friday a lot too. But, I really enjoy them. I don't have to work very often & so I get to spend the day with my mom. (Sometimes my dad as well if he doesn't have to work!) But, yesterday my mom and me spent the day trying on tons of shoes, walking around the mall & laughing with each other. We normally start the day off with a stop to Maverick for a drink! I love that I have such a good relationship with her! She really means the world to me! I look forward to Friday's every week. It bums me out when I have to go to work or when she is gone on vacation over a Friday. As much as my family teases me about my Mommy-Time, all I can say is it sucks for them.. it is the best thing!
Thank you mom for always being so awesome & to hang out with your baby!

I can't believe in a few months I will be 22 years old.. What the HECK! This week at dance I was joking with some of the girls because of how old they are. Mainly because of the year they were born in! It all started when someone asked something about 9/11. It was hard for me to grasp that they didn't see it take place & that something that still seems so current really is just a history lesson for some of them. Its funny to me how I thought they were so much older than they are! I absolutely love each of those girls so much. They always bring a smile to my face!

Last Night, we left our friends house. They got married a few weeks ago, it was fun to go over and hang out. We ended up leaving pretty late. I needed to get gas in my car, so we stopped at a Smiths. I pulled in, got out and realized that I had pulled in on the wrong side. I then got back in, and flipped around to the other side of the pump. Got out, realized I was still on the wrong side... By the third time I finally got it right after a giant U turn. I had to just sit and laugh at myself for how retarded I felt about myself.

A Million MPH!

What a week it has been! I seriously feel like I have been running, jumping & leaping constantly but, I wouldn't change it for anything!

The competition teams are looking FABULOUS! Plus, we are starting my absolute favorite.. Lyrical!
Yay.. There is something about dancing slow & feeling what the artist is singing! Oh, it just gets me.. especially on those hard days! It reminds me of the past things I have learned from people or just from myself!
Even though there are days I am tired, worn out & just don't know if I can make it through the day! I love that the reason I am tired is because I am spending my nights dancing & watching all of the girls become better every practice! I am so excited for the coming months with these girls!

Alumni, is so much fun as well! Even though there are times I wonder how I will ever get my feet to do tap or how I will make it through the recital because I am out of shape! I love that I can still be challenged & have time to dance for just myself. Those late Monday night's keep me so happy the rest of the week!

This week was very long at school, I ended up staying later than usual for it being SEP's! Those weeks are always stressful. Maybe that's why I went to Costa Vida twice last week.. or maybe its just my fat pants!

I just love my Young Woman in my ward.. they are like my own kids. I don't know what I would do without that calling. They make my day so much brighter. If its a funny text message or a snapchat from them. They make me so happy! I honestly can say I am surrounded by such great youth. Now, if they just didn't have to keep growing up!

Lately, I have been laughing at myself. I use to hate crafting, in fact when my mom wanted to go into Joann's or anything close to a place like that I cringed, whined & probably sometimes cried. But now I love to spend time at those stores. Maybe it's because of Pinterest and it's endless possibilites or because of the house we live in. But I love finishing a project.. even though I can count about 10 that I am working on currently or have been thinking about! Isn't it crazy how we read a DIY tutorial & just dig in and try it! What a funny craft world. Sometimes I wonder how I have this much trust in someone I have never met! But, I still find myself driving to the nearest store to create something!

This weekend:
I spent the whole day Friday at Utah State Drill Championship. It was awesome, I love spending time with Lisa & Alexa. We have such a great time together & create to many jokes! I love seeing the talent that these drill teams have! They each are so amazing, I am sure that their coaches maybe walked away not happy that someone dropped a pirouette or a lift. But, if you can put on a show that someone doesn't want to look away from then you did your job as a performer and dancer! It made me so happy to see that passion in all of those girls eyes. I don't think I fully realized that in high school nor in college. But, boy was I blessed to learn all I did from my coaches & teammates. Those were definitely the best years & hardest years!

...I don't think there is anything better than waking up after 10am. I know, I know.. How can I still do that? But, it makes me so happy! Especially to wake up & head straight to Hobby Lobby. I swear I am a weekly shopper! Even my dad wanted to go with my mom & me. He spent his time in the model car aisle, we had to laugh at that.
We also went into Petsmart. They had an adoption agency in there with about 15 or so dogs! Man, it was hard to not walk out with one. I can't believe that people can just walk away from their animals like that. I had to get more food for Nala & a container since we have had our first encounter with a mouse yesterday! Sadly, it was my mom that dealt with it! She wasn't very happy with me I am sure.
I went to lunch with my parents at Crown Burgers. I love spending time with them, I know my dad thinks I am clingy and that I never leave! But, I truly do love the time that I get with them. If only I would have known that four years ago ( I was way to bratty of a teenager).

Ending the night at Pace's with our friends Carli & Dan. They just make me laugh, I am so thankful for friends that we can go and do things with so much. I am so excited for them to become parents.. I just want that little girl here so I can hold her!
