Love Day 2014

We all say how much we love and appreciate our significant others. Weather, it be a boyfriend/girlfriend/crush/wife or husband! I will be honest this year I had no idea what we were going to do for Valentines. I had totally racked my mind for Kelly's 25 days of Christmas and last year I did 14 days of love! I couldn't come up with anything. I finally realized that no matter what I do he will enjoy it.. It doesn't matter what I do as long as he doesn't get a pair of skinny jeans & stilettos.

Thursday night I called Kelly to see if he was home from work. He was getting home at different times last week since he was doing Welding school down in Salt Lake. Once he answered the phone, I told him I was on my way home. That is when his voice turned to panic, he instantly said "uhm, can you go to the store and get milk & bread! We are out!" .. I knew right then he was  up to something. I tried to say well can't we just go together tonight. I finally said I would go to the store and get milk & bread. He wanted me to send him a text when I left the store.

I walked into our house with milk & bread, walked upstairs & there was a clean kitchen, a note & 12 beautiful roses! ...I was so happy! He was so happy! He then admitted he was hurrying to type up the note, cut it out & the stems of the roses! On his note he wrote about how the flower selection the day before is much better! His wife deserves the best flowers & all this mushy stuff. I sat and smelled them for a good half hour. They were perfect! (I even got out our humidifier so it would keep them from drying out.)

For one of my Christmas gifts from Kelly was a couple gift cards to Farr Fresh! If you have not been there you must try it out! It is AWESOME! It is self-serve frozen yogurt, their flavors change out every so often and they have tons of toppings! Yum! (I almost want to leave work right now to go get some!)

Thursday night, we went to Farr's Fresh for the second time in two weeks. They have a heavenly Dole Whip that tastes just like Disneyland. We also love their banana & huckleberry!

Before we left I caught these two watching the Winter Olympics. Man, I just think they are adorable! Nala, just loves Kelly. Wherever he goes in the house or even outside she just wants to be with him. I don't think she really cares if she's with me! But, when Kelly is gone she will mope around the house waiting for his return!

Finally Friday came! I enjoy Friday's. I have the day off most of the time plus its the day that I normally get to spend with my parents if they are around. Since, it was 'Love Day' my parents were celebrating in Logan by themselves. I ran around different stores trying to return a few things & come up with a couple more things for Kelly.I definitely had to go to Zurchers. I love that place! I love balloons, I don't even know if Kelly even cares about them, but I grew up with my dad getting me them for Valentines & my mom always would bring us balloons They always have such fun balloons for Valentines. They even already have some bouquets ready to buy! I was looking at the price of one already made & I couldn't believe how much they were. So, I walked around finding those exact balloons to see how much they were with hi-float. How much the weight would cost & the foil balloon. I realized it was marked way to high. I mentioned it to a worker and they ended up making cheaper than if I would of picked the balloons and weight out myself. SCORE!

At home I already had a mug, card & a 5lb. bag of gummy bears. I just needed something he would really get use out of. I was in Wal-mart, it finally clicked that he just got new work boots and needed some longer socks. We had already bought some but not very many.. so what did Kelly get for love day.. work socks! Yay!

Friday Night, we were planning to go to Texas Roadhouse. We tried to call ahead, guess what? They say you can call in on Valentines Day but their phone was busy.. coincidence! We went in just to see how bad the wait would be it was an hour and a half to two hours. The crazy thing is that people were waiting!! We decided we would just go next week. Instead we drove around to see what was less busy and ended up eating at Cafe Rio. Not that I complain, since that was where we had our first date. It was still quite a wait but worth it!

After we ate we still had a few hours to either walk around the mall before we went and saw a movie. Although, we weren't really in love with seeing a certain movie. Kelly ended up picking Labor Day, it was an interesting movie. It is based on a novel, it didn't start till after 10 pm I am surprised we made it on time. I had to go home to get my 'fat pants' on. I knew with going to a movie that late I wanted to be comfortable. We ended up running into Mickenzie & Josh. We talked to them before heading in to the movie, they are just the cutest couple. I love talking to them & spending time with them! I got my large popcorn and was totally settled in for a good movie. After the movie we were talking about the plot & I said to Kelly. Sometimes, I wish I liked to read books. Kelly started laughing at me.. I then finished my sentence 'but it's easier to watch a movie for two hours!' 

It was such a fun night & I am so glad I get to have dates like that with Kelly whenever I want!
