First Time Canning.

Harvest season is here. I have never canned before but after some persuading from my mom and sister I finally did some.
We started with Salsa a couple weeks ago and now are doing fruit.
Peaches, Cinnamon Pears, Peach Freeze & Raspberry Peach Jam.

I feel a little to domestic but it was so worth it. Especially now that the shelves Kelly built this summer now have some yummy things sitting on them.
My mom had got a couple of bushels from Perry, UT and then her peach trees came on a week later, its safe to say we had MILLIONS of peaches!

We tried Cinnamon Pears a couple years ago and I wouldn't want to eat any other pears. So I made 12 quarts of Cinnamon Pears.

This is part of the peach freeze. We eat this stuff on Sundays mainly, pour some Sprite over it and its divine.
(It has peaches, sugar, crushed pineapple and juice from lemons and oranges)

When we did the salsa I wasn't really sure what I was doing. Once we were done my mom was teasing me that I didn't cut the tomatoes very small. Considering she knows how to cut tomatoes a heck of a lot better than me. Salsa was definitely the most time consuming since you have to cut all the veggies up and then let it cook for so long.
Thanks Mom for teaching your daughter. I am glad I got to learn something new from you!
