Day 7: Throwback to the First Date

Kelly's Christmas countdown has been fun but this was one I was so excited to do.

So last Saturday we did it. I was busy doing some shopping with my mom & driving through snow storms. But we made it through.
I got the two inflatables from RC Willey & some other presents! My mom spoiled us with something nice from Kohls. I can wait to use it.

My mom also got a new oven finally. She has been debating on what to get & decided on gas! Kelly went over and put in a gas line to it. What a handy guy. Oh wait that is a small part of his daily job.

I finally got home and we left to relive our very first date.

As crazy as it seems, I thought it would be just like the first time. Okay the food was but the conversations definitely were not.

I forgot how much I love Cafe Rio! The food is great & a good change up from my hoarding of Costa Vida.

I remember when Kelly picked me up for our first date how nervous I was. I kept checking myself out in my parents bathroom & had probably spent a good hour on getting ready. I remember trying to eat nicely & hide my mouth if I got some food on my face. I was so self conscious.
He picked me up in his truck. Oh how I loved riding in it & to be quite honest I couldn't wait to drive it by myself. (I shortly learned my lesson while we were engaged.)
I remember where we parked, the exact place we sat at inside & the conversations and questions that were asked.
We were already such good friends that I wasn't sure what would happen & let alone if he was even interested.
Well over a year and a half later. I think he was pretty into me.

The roles & times have changed. We sat in the same place, ordered the same thing but the flirting and nervousness wasn't there like I was anticipating (crazy I know) instead, we talked about the holidays, the cruise, what we needed at Target & a small bit of how we both felt on our first date with each other!

Even though the butterflies weren't flying in my stomach & I didn't feel dumb for stuffing my face with the yummy pork. I can definitely say that I am so glad that I went on that First Date with Kelly! It definitely led to some marvelous adventures! I love Kelly! I love doing this countdown for him! I just love this season.
